I just wanted to share this week’s “Morsel” with everyone, because this is a topic that has been in my mind for quite some time now.
Everywhere I look, there’s another article about “successful people” and everything they do. I can’t even tell you how that word, and others like “niche” and “tribe,” are starting to rub me the wrong way.
Although some people who may be successful do certain things, it doesn’t necessarily mean that in order to be successful you HAVE to do these things. Successful people may have routines and strengths that are common patterns amongst “successful people,” but that doesn’t mean you have to do it the EXACT same way.
I’m a firm believer in the ADAPT & APPLY form of looking at success models. I try to share my experiences and what I know. Then, I invite others to tweak it, and hopefully they find it useful. So anything I ever share, feel free to tweak towards your own needs. If you find something else that works, even better. I’d love to hear all about it!
I, myself even fell into the trap of trying to absorb ALL THE SMART THINGS SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE DO. While I am all about modeling after what works, at some point you have to STOP reaching for the next “Top 10 Successful…” article and start looking to yourself. You have to stop looking at all the models, competitors or for the next magic pill. Trust that YOU know some things and start DOING. In the end who defines success anyway? YOU define your own SUCCESS.
THIS WEEK: Have a “Success” Advice Sucks! Moment
Think about all those articles, books, everything you’ve read, and try to pick out just 1 idea and adapt it to YOU.
Comment below, and let me know how you tweak some past advice you received to fit YOU.
I’d love to HELP YOU! If there are questions I can help answer. Your question could be featured in an upcoming MORSEL.
Sincerely to your continued success,
